Austin Growing Up

Today our friends Keely and Jay stopped by our house en route to the mountains. Gayle was doing a photo shoot, leaving Wyatt, Austin and me with our guests. Austin first demonstrated to Keely and Jay that he knew all of his letters, which he seemed to have picked up on all in the last month. "B is for Bruce, bunny, and Brian," and "K is for Kevin, ketchup, and Krisha," for example. Austin then decided, in a way I've never seen before, that he wanted to show Keely and Jay his room. Yes, he asked "Do you want to see my room?" We proceeded to follow Austin upstairs where he led our guests to Wyatt's room first, saying "there's a crib, letters [Wyatt's name spelled on the wall] and diapers." Then he led our guests to his own room, where he said "I have a bed, lots of boooks, my name [on the wall] and that's me mowing the lawn [pointing to a picture of himself mowing the lawn with a toy mower]." How Austin has gone so quickly from babbling to showing people "his" house is beyond me. But it's sure fun to watch.
