As you might remember from my last posting, our effort to roast marshmallows while camping with the McMonagles was thwarted by rain. We made up for it last week, not deep in the backwoods, but on Brian and Rachael's back porch. While it was not quite the same for me, it does not take much fire for a kid to enjoy roasing marshmallows, or "smarshmallows" as Austin likes to call them. Austin and Lucy delighted in slowly toasting their marshallows, only to see them suddenly burst into flames. They probably would have stayed there for several more hours if we had let them. As a matter of fact, the treats turned out deliciously well. Can you really ruin a roasted marshmallow? Mmmmm.
